Of all the Bahamian Islands, Bimini is perhaps the most intriguing pair. The two gorgeous islands have everything you expect from the Bahamas, including miles of flawless sandy beaches, stunning natural vistas, and the laid-back calypso culture with its unique rake-and-scrape music.

But behind the modern front lies a long history of mystery and significance. During Prohibition, the islands served as a speakeasy, where rum-runners could stash their illegal booze before trying to smuggle it into the US. A little later, Ernest Hemingway used to escape to the islands for the incredible fishing.

Following in that famous author’s footsteps, Jimmy Buffett also spent time in Bimini when he was writing his book, and Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote parts of his acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize while he was sailing with local boat-builder Ansil (who still lives on the islands).

And then there’s Bimini Road, the underwater rock formation that some believe is a road that led to the lost city of Atlantis. There’s the Bimini Nature Trail, and the Healing Hole, where swimmers report of being healed by the natural upsurge of lithium and sodium in a saltwater mangrove swamp.

But maybe you’re more interested in spending some time shopping for duty-free and local hand-made crafts, diving to see ship wrecks and incredible wildlife, or meeting dolphins and sharks in their natural habitat. Whatever you’re looking for on your day out in the Bahamas, you’re guaranteed an experience you’ll never forget!

Guidelines

• Safety is our number one priority. Our safety records are verifiable through the FAA (faa.gov).
• A liability release waiver must be completed and a parent / guardian must sign if the participant is under the age of 18 years.
• Maximum 4 passengers per trip. Children are not permitted on laps.
• Landing and customs fees not included ($250, cash only)
• Maximum weight of each passenger is 250 pounds, and combined passenger and luggage weight should not exceed 630 pounds.
• The decision of who rides in the co-pilot’s seat is made by the pilot, depending on the weight distribution of the aircraft’s passengers and luggage.
• Please bring your camera – the views are incredible! All possessions are your responsibility, during embarkation and the flight, so please ensure all electronic equipment is safe and secure. 
• Our seaplanes are very stable, but individuals who suffer from motion sickness may wish to take appropriate medication before the flight.

Our seaplane base is located on Key Biscayne, FL.

Session Length

• All day. The flight leaves early in the morning and returns late in the afternoon, to maximize your time in Bimini.
• No flights on Mondays. We are open all year round, weather permitting, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
