Golden Gate Park covers over 1,000 acres and is the fifth most visited park in the country. It's designed a bit like Central Park in New York, though it's bigger, and began its life back in the 19th Century.

We'll take you around some of the best-known sites, such as the Music Concourse, the California Academy of Sciences, the de Young Museum, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers and many more. You'll learn all about the history of the park as we ride, through an earbud radio connection that makes sure you don't miss any of the fascinating details!

We'll also show you some of the hidden treasures in the park, including the Shakespeare Garden, the Lily Pond, the Fern Grove and Prayerbook Cross. Add the Rose, Rhododendron, and Dahlia Gardens, a Redwood Grove, the pioneer log cabin, the Carousel and Sharon Art Studio, the Lawn Bowling Courts and many more sights and we're sure you'll remember this tour for the rest of your life!

Guidelines

• Riders must be aged 12 years or over. Under-18's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• We have strict weight limits for Segway safety: riders must weigh more than 100lbs (45kg) and less than 250lbs (113kg). No exceptions.
• Pregnant riders are not permitted, due to fall risk.

Venue

The tour starts at the green tent off the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.

Session Length

2.5-hour session, including 45 minutes of Segway training. We run 3 sessions a day from April to October, 2 sessions a day from November to March. Open every day of the year except Christmas Day, New Year and days when the Park is host to major events. We add up to two more sessions per day as required by demand.
