Saint Valentine’s Day is celebrated every year on February 14, and is a day when individuals express their love (unrequited or not) for another, typically by offering a card or gift.

Historically, there are lots of St. Valentines, of whom two – Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni – are honored on February 14. Folklore and mythology have, over the years, added a great deal of invented history, hearsay and romantic ideology, very little of which actually makes any difference to modern-day celebrations.

Valentines cards began being used in seriousness at the end of the 18th Century, but really took off when it got a lot cheaper to mail cards – and made it possible to send anonymous messages! The US Greeting Card Association estimates that some 190 million cards are sent by post every year in the US, and that about a billion are given in total.

Valentines presents are a much more modern concept, and have only been around for a few decades. They are an extension of card-giving, of course, for those who are more serious about expressing their love: the majority are presents for girlfriends and wives, or even children.

Despite commercialization, Valentine’s Day is a keystone of modern relationships, and a romantic Valentine Day gift is still one of the best ways to say “I love you”.

A voucher code, coupon code, or promotional (promo) code is a sequence of letters and/or numbers that can be used to gain a discount or other benefit from a given store. They exist for both online and offline businesses, though the Internet has made them much more prevalent (and easy to find).

Many stores offer voucher codes as an incentive to purchasing from them instead of a competitor, frequently targeting first-time customers. They are often available to long-term customers as a reward for brand loyalty.

Voucher codes can provide any number of benefits when used: a discount on purchase prices, free delivery, a bonus “freebie” when ordering, a special offer for introducing a friend to the store, or pretty much anything else the store owner can come up with!

Always look for a “my voucher code” spot to enter your promo code when you reach the site’s checkout or shopping cart page.

Valentines presents are gifts given on February 14, to show a special person how much you love them. Obviously, the best valentines presents are wildly romantic and totally unexpected – like going skydiving together, or getting gussied up and taking your partner to an elegant high tea party!
